The contractor who reads the plans first.
A trade partner for architects, interior designers, and design-build firms working on Cape Cod — bid clarity, jobsite professionalism, and finish work that protects the design.
We build what you drew — and protect your relationship while we do it.
Every detail, every spec, every section. Before the bid, not during construction. If we have questions, we ask before quoting — not after the contract is signed.
Your specs are the brief. We don't substitute materials without telling you. We don't value-engineer the soul out of a design. If something needs to change, you hear about it first.
You stay the lead. We don't go around you to the homeowner. We don't make you the messenger between us and the client. Communication runs through whichever channel you set up.
I've worked alongside Lee Robinson and his crews for over 10 years. Our companies have always worked seamlessly together — Lee is quick to answer a call, clarify questions during bids or onsite. We could not be more pleased to call Robinson & Sons a lifelong ally in the field.
I've had the pleasure of working with Lee and his team on several projects across Cape Cod, and they consistently deliver outstanding results. What truly stands out is their ability to collaborate seamlessly with clients, architects, and trade partners — bringing a high level of expertise and integrity to every job.
Working with Robinson and Sons has been a great experience from day one. They're organized, honest, and truly care about the quality of their work. Everything runs smoothly, communication is clear, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. It's not always easy to find a team like that in this industry.
A few things you'll never have to chase us about.
Most of the friction between architects and contractors comes from things contractors *won't* say in writing. Here's what we put in writing.
-
No.
We won't substitute materials without telling you.
If a spec'd material is back-ordered, discontinued, or has a quality concern, we flag it before we change it. Your specs are the brief — not a starting suggestion.
-
No.
We won't go around you to your client.
If something needs decided and you're the lead, we ask you. We don't pull the homeowner into a conversation that should be yours. The relationship you've built stays intact.
-
No.
We won't make you the messenger.
Bad news, change orders, schedule shifts — we communicate them ourselves and document them properly. You shouldn't have to translate between us and your client.
-
No.
We won't ghost between trades.
Coordination between subs is on us, not you. Sequencing, RFIs, submittals, punch list — all managed by us so your firm stays focused on design and client relationship.
-
No.
We won't disappear after closing.
Every project comes with a one-year construction warranty. Beyond that, we still pick up the phone — and most of our long-term trade relationships are repeat work for exactly that reason.
